Through this pandemic (and I hope everyone is staying safe!), I've been working on Zeke's seventh mystery. It's getting very close to being finished, and I'm planning a title and cover reveal soon!
I'm working back through some what I call "heavy editing" to be sure the story is consistent and that the time line works. I expect to get this out to my editor around the end of this month.
Kimmy has a staring role in this one, and we learn quite a bit about her past! Such fun!
Stand by. I'll keep you informed. --Jeff Siebold

Just an update... I'm 10,000+ words into the next (seventh) Zeke Traynor Mystery. (My books are usually about 75,000 words.) One of my fans suggested that it would be interesting to send Kimmy off on an adventure of her own...so I'm doing that. Terrorists in London, a murder at Port Everglades, and Zeke moves to Ft. Lauderdale... Stand by!

Finished up the manuscript for "The Sienna Sand" today. Now, off to my excellent editor it goes.
The cover (on this website's home page) is another marvel by Debora Bradseth at TugboatDesign.net Thanks to Deborah!

We got through Hurricane Dorian safely, and without incident. Thank you, God! It could have been much worse.
I'm finishing up my final edits of "The Sienna Sand", Zeke's sixth adventure. I'm planning to have it to my editor within two weeks, and am looking at a pre-release date of November 19th, and a release date of December 3rd. Very exciting!
Here's a blurb about it:
"The Wall. The Mexican Cartel is using mortars to send cocaine over the border wall, and tunnels to bring illegals into the United States. Zeke is called in by the U.S. Border Patrol to help stop both activities. But combating the cartel with their vast resources and their insane leader proves to be no small task."
And we'll be looking for Advance Readers soon. Sign up for our newsletter on this website and don't miss this exciting book launch! We'll be offering Zeke Traynor's other mysteries at a discount, we'll share the status of the new book's release, we'll send out information about free mysteries, and more!

Hurricane Dorian sits camped out over Freeport as I write this, dumping thousands of gallons of water on the small island. I expect that UNESCO released the dolphins to the open sea several days ago so they can escape the storm. They'll return when it passes.
We were in Savannah this past weekend, and had to escape when the Georgia Governor declared a Mandatory Evacuation. It was a bit of a surprise, actually. Right now, we're back home at the mouth of the Cape Fear River.
The forecast has the storm coming this way, passing us a bit to the east over the Atlantic. All of you in the storm's path, be safe. Don't take chances, and prepare for the wind and wet weather. We'll pray for your safety.
I'm working on the end of the latest Zeke Traynor novel, "The Sienna Sand" (working title). My excellent cover designer is hard at work, creating another cover that portrays mystery and suspense in its combination of colors, tone and images. That means we'll have a Cover Reveal soon-most likey this month!
I'll be asking for Advance Readers soon, also. (When the final editing is completed.) If you're not on my e-mail list, sign up on this webpage (Home page) and get a free book, as well as my occasional newsletter. I publish once or twice a month, and usually include news and status and free book giveaways. (We'll never share your information.)
Be safe and we'll see you after the storm passes through!

It's been a great summer- I hope yours is, too!
Over the next couple of weeks I'll be wrapping up my "heavy editing" for my latest (sixth) Zeke Traynor mystery, and getting it ready for my professional editor. The book's about 72,000 words right now, and I expect it will be about 74,000 when finished. So, yeah, soon!
I came up with a working title. Tell me what you think about, "Sienna Sand". (It's hard to know until you've read the book, right?)
And sign up for my email list (on my homepage) and get a free copy of "Lilac and Old Gold" for your Kindle. And you'll receive occasional newsletters with access to free books, reviews, information, new releases and more!
Thanks. Keep reading! -Jeff Siebold

Hope you had a great holiday!
Over the 4th, I hit 60,000 words in the sixth Zeke Traynor mystery, and have outlined the rest of the story! (A typical mystery novel has about 75,000 words.) No title yet, but I'm working on it...
So, we're about 80% done (plus editing) and I'm excited about this book. Should be available this autumn.

This is exciting! The Zeke Traynor Mystery Series will be featured in this Sunday's Edition of the Wilmington Star-News!
Ben Steelman, the Faith/Book/GA Features Reporter for the newspaper, interviewed me earlier this week, and is planning to publish that interview Sunday. Cool!
What's exciting is that this Sunday is the final day of the North Carolina Azalea Festival, a huge gathering that's been going on here annually since 1948! I wonder how many papers they'll sell? More about that here: https:/ncazaleafestival.org/
